Privacy statement of Cyta UK
1. Collection of information
1.1 Cyta UK may collect personal information from the Customer from a number of sources, including:
1.2 When the Customer agrees to take a service or product from Cyta UK , in which case this may include the Customer’s contact details, date of birth, payment method and possibly bank details.
1.3 When the Customer contacts Cyta UK with an enquiry or in response to a communication from Cyta UK , in which case this may tell Cyta UK , something about the Customer’s preferences.
1.4 From publicly available sources, such as the electoral register.
2. Use of information
2.1 Cyta UK will use personal information about the Customer for a number of purposes, including:
2.1.1 In the case of any Customer who is an individual about whom Cyta UK processes personal data (as defined in the Data Protection Act 1998), the following shall apply:
2.1.2 Cyta UK may process such personal data for the purposes of administering the relationship with the Customer, and, as part of its use of such data, may transfer that data to other Cyta UK affiliates in jurisdictions outside the UK which do not provide the same level of protection for personal data as exists in the UK .
2.1.3 Cyta UK may also, from time to time, use such personal data to provide the Customer, whether by telephone or facsimile or electronic mail or other means of communication, with details of promotions, products and services of Cyta UK which may be of interest to the Customer.
2.1.4 Cyta UK may use credit scoring or carry out a credit check when considering the Customer’s application and also when operation account(s) or making credit decisions or otherwise providing the Service.
2.2 By entering into this Agreement, the Customer expressly agrees to the use of personal data for the purposes described above.
2.3 To help improve Cyta UK ‘s service and in the interests of security it may monitor and/or record the Customer’s telephone calls with it.
3. Web access
3.1 If the Customer communicates with Cyta UK via the Internet then Cyta UK may occasionally use email to contact the customer about its services and products.
3.2 The Customer’s use of our web site signifies the Customers consent to Cyta UK collecting and using personal information about the Customer as specified in accordance with this Policy.
3.3 Should Cyta UK choose to change its Policy for any reason, the changes will be posted on the Cyta UK web site, so that the Customer is always kept informed of how Cyta UK collects and uses the Customer’s personal information, and when Cyta UK may disclose it.
4.1 We use “cookies” to monitor site user traffic patterns and site usage. This helps us to understand how our customers and potential customers use our website so that we can develop and improve the design layout and functionality of the sites.
4.2 A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier that is sent to the Customer’s browser from a web sites computers and stored on the Customer’s computer hard drive.
4.3 Each web site can send its own cookie to the Customer’s browser if the Customer’s browsers preferences allow it, but (to protect the Customer’s privacy) the Customer’s browser only permits a web site to access the cookies it has already sent to the Customer, not the cookies sent to You by other sites.
4.4 The Customer can configure its browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify the Customer when a cookie is set. (Each browser is different, so the Customer needs to check the “Help” menu of its browser to learn how to change its cookie preferences.
5. Online-Payments, when available
5.1 It is safe to make payments to Cyta UK online.
5.2 It is Cyta UK ‘s policy to protect the Customer’s privacy by making the Customer’s online transactions with Cyta UK secure.
5.3 When the Customer sends their payment details, they are encrypted, or changed to unreadable code, on their journey between the Customer’s computer and Cyta UK . So any information the Customer sends cannot be read between these two points.
5.4 When the Customer’s payment details arrive they are held securely at our end. Access to the Customer’s information is carefully restricted.
5.5 Cyta UK will only use the Customer’s card details for the payment concerned. We will not disclose the Customer’s card details to any third parties other than the bank, which processes them for payment.
5.6 Once the Customer’s payment has been authorized, Cyta UK will give the Customer notification of this confirmation via email or letters.
